Savannah, GA's Jalen Reyes Band delivers genre-defying original music blending soul, jazz, gospel, and rock roots-inspired sounds.

Jalen Reyes is one of Savannah, Georgia’s most in-demand musicians, known for his versatility across Americana, country, honky-tonk, jazz, and rock.  Nationally recognized as a powerhouse drummer anchoring countless live shows around the world, and seasoned in the studio as a session man for major radio acts, Reyes now steps into the spotlight as a solo artist, and has immediately caused a stir with the quality and quantity of his initial output.

Upon meeting Dylan Lee (Washed Out guitarist) the two almost immediately began writing and recording what was to come of their debut album Jalen’s Magic Stew. With the help of Drew Vandenberg (Faye Webster producer), JR and the band created a lush country and soul portrait of Savannah, filled with sax, string arrangements, church bells, and Bible verses that sounds equal parts Bill Withers and The Band.

In July of 2026, JR and his band delivered Lost in Time - a soulful, genre-blending piece, rooted in groove and tradition and sees the band dive deeper into jazz and experimental territories. Lost in Time hints at a larger vision, bubbling under the surface, poised to charm any listener with ears, to shed some tears..

Jalen Reyes is comprised of JR (drums and lead vocals), Dylan Lee (guitarist, vocals), Susanna Kennedy (fiddle, acoustic, vocals), Dylan Puckett (bass, vocals), and multi-instrumentalist Spencer Garland (keys, flute, saxophone, and of course vocals). A powerhouse group that shines on translating these lush live recordings to the stage in an exuberant fashion.
